Fostering Friday

Oh, so cute! But I've got no time.
I live in an apartment.
I can't have a long-term pet.

Sounds familiar?? Consider this...

All you need is spare time and a short period in your timetable and huge doses of love!

SPCA receives approximately 1,000 canines and felines and due to lack of space, 90% are humanely put down but we can't be doing this forever... it is not the answer! So, we are looking for foster homes to care for the young, orpaned, sick or injured pups, dogs, kittens and cats. Once they are well, we will look for homes for them.

What is Fostering?

In the event where adoption is not possible, we offer our foster programme. It is the act of temporarily caring for the young canines and felines.

Why Should I Consider Fostering?

SPCA has so many surrendered animals and it is almost impossible to look after all of them.

Putting the frail down is not the long-term answer.

So, if the kind could help look after them temporarily up to the next adoption roadshows or until they are strong, many lives could be saved.

Where Can I Get Animals to Foster?

At the SPCA shelter, of course! We are at Jalan Kerja Ayer Lama, 68000 Ampang Jaya . If you lose your way, you can always give us a call at 03-42565312 or 03-42535179.

How do I Foster?

Step 1 Come to the shelter.
Step 2 Enquire of those in need of foster parents, browse.
Step 3 Fill in the 'Angels' Foster Club' form for our records.
Step 4 Take you foster pet home and give it lots of tender loving care.
Step 5 When your foster pet is strong, bring it back to the shelter and we will put it up for adoption.
